Life Groups
Life Groups are where community goes deeper at First Naz. It’s where we make space to connect with God and with one another, and where you can find a true sense of belonging. Whether that looks like studying the Bible, sharing a meal, playing pickleball, or praying together, there’s a group for you in every season.

Common Questions
What is a life group?
A Life Group is a safe place to explore what you believe about God and share life with people who care about you. It’s also a place to laugh, be yourself, and enjoy doing life together. Some study the Bible, some gather around a shared activity, and others walk alongside one another through tough seasons. Over time, groups often grow into something deeper, serving together, caring for one another, and building meaningful friendships. Wherever you are on your journey, there’s a group waiting to welcome you in.
How long do groups run?
Our Life Groups are designed with flexibility in mind. Some meet year-round to build ongoing community, while others gather in focused 6–10 week semesters.
Do I have to commit for the whole session?
Most groups are flexible, and you’re welcome to join or step away at your own pace. That said, some people find that staying with a Grow group helps them better engage with the content, whether it’s a book of the Bible, a faith topic, or discussions tied to our sermon series. There’s no required commitment for any group. Just come as you’re able.
What if I don't know anyone?
You’re not alone. Many people join a Life Group without knowing anyone, and it’s one of the best ways to start building real connections at First Naz. Activity groups are a great first step if you want to ease in, have fun, and get to know people naturally. Come as you are, take your time, and get comfortable at your own pace.
How do I sign up?
Browse groups in the group finder above and sign up for one that interests you. If you’d like help finding the right group, fill out our interest form, and Sandy will follow up with you.
Can I try a group before committing?
Absolutely. We encourage you to visit a group and see if it’s a good fit. A lot of groups are flexible, so you’re welcome to try one or even a few before deciding where you feel most comfortable.
Is there childcare?
Options vary by group. Some provide childcare, some don’t, some meet on Sunday mornings so you can use our on-site childcare, and others welcome children to attend right along with you.
What if I don't see a group for me?
It might be the perfect opportunity to start one of your own. If you’re growing in your relationship with Jesus and feel comfortable leading a simple discussion, you already have what you need. Think about your friends. Chances are, they’d love to spend time together, build community, and talk about how to apply the weekend message to everyday life. Starting a group doesn’t have to be complicated. Email Pastor Sandy at [email protected] to chat through what starting a group could look like for you.
